Medium: I most enjoy working with watercolors because it's easier to blend the colors together and if you add it to dark you can just add water to lighten it. I wish that I had explored chalk paste more.
Sketchbook: I found drawing the sign language hands beneficial. I selected this above the others because hands are hard to draw so getting a chance to practice drawing them everyday helped me to improve. Also you didn't have to think of what you were going to drew you just had to draw a hand in the different letters.
Do over: If I could I would do my two-in-one project (sea turtle and flowers) again. I would do it over because I don't like the color the ocean behind the turtle turned out. Also I don't like how most of the flowers are close to the same color. I would make sure that I made the ocean color lighter and more blue than green but I would keep the little accents of white and light green. I would also draw all the flowers and then start painting them so that they can be a wider variety of shades and colors.
Most Successful: The most successful project I did was the art journaling. I got the word superhero so it was something that I had looks of ideas for. I just had to figure out when to do what layer so that the idea of a burning city with the Avengers came out. It was fun but also difficult to pick what techniques to use and learning how to do them. If you didn't like how a layer came out you could just cover it with something else and I did that a couple times.
Regardless of Success: I learned and grew the most on the project were we had to combine two different characters. I learned how to combine features from two different images to make one. Also I had to figure out which features to keep and which to get rid of to make it look cohesive. I think I grew the most in this project because the individual characters that I drew before combining them are some of the best pictures that I have drawn.
